how good is sitting on the b2b website from home haha
I ordered a frame out of curiousity, hoping it arrives a little earlier.

it is the worst. the number of times i’ve put that fat bike in the basket and nearly hit send:p
Rapha called: they want their EPIC™ back.
Not enough black and white™ footage.
I’m gonna write a dissertation called “The Marketing of Misery”. Cases in point: that video^^, Rapha’s whole schtick, the Sufferfest (whatever that is), and Australian politics.
It’s all about making money from telling people how much pain and discomfort they’ll be in if they use said product/service.
You forgot to include touring on a track bike.

no backpack, no panniers, not even a handlebar bag…
that’s a paddlin’
Yeah, I guess I wouldn’t call that a “tour” video, per se.
So, where can I find some of this b2b action?
work in a bike shop, be a specialized dealer and know the passwords…
Fair enough then. My bank balance is safe for a while longer!
I was just hoping it wasn’t some awesome online action that I was missing out on…
hahaha, yeah it is definitely a good thing.
video looks rad, I’m really keen to see how it turns out from a visual/‘cinematic’ standpoint as they travel through the different countries/conditions and also whether or not they touch on the product design backgrounds of the dudes and how that translated into the bike’s design and then onto the road.
I guess it’s just Marketing 101 really, and makes perfect sense in a silly human way. They’re selling the ‘tangible product’ which is the bike/gear and the ‘intangible product’ which is the experience/intention of experience. We all know majority of these bikes wont ever go on an ‘adventure’ as intended, but owning one will make someone feel accomplished via retail therapy.
at 1:30 I’d seen more than I needed to see
“Sell the Sizzle, not the BBQ”
The RAPHA film crew are calling their lawyers about now.
boom
yeah, but in this case, the sizzle is a negative. that’s kind of unusual, and i think the unusual-ness of it is what heavy metal was pointing out.
fixieleaks.
