Spotted very close-up an absolute prat doing a skid on his brakeless fixie on the footpath out the front of Bicycle Express this afternoon approx 5:15pm, the git hearly hit me as I stepped out the store. He overshot the front door big time.
One of a group of 4 asian blokes, one had an outrageous polkadot deep-v (now I know who buys these things)

sounds like some of the fuji crew. A couple of those guys can be a little sketchy sometimes, but i thought i recalled them with brakes.
Yeah, thats team fuji. They are shocking. None of them could ride a bike until about a year ago, now they’re all brakeless without foot retention. They are terrifying to ride with. Hold a line? Nah, Id rather hit a bollard. Team Fuji, if you read this, riding dangerously without due care doesn’t impress anybody, it frightens them. Taking calculated risks is fine, but use your OWN judgement. Dont trust that the gap that the guy in front of you took will be big enough for you to get through. in fact, just put brakes back on, nobody cares. Id rather you rode with brakes than have to be the guy to scrape your brains off the bonnet of a P-platers Commodore.

This was out the front of their school, which happens to be next to work.
I did ride past them this morning as they were locking up and yelled “do a skid”, but I don’t think they got the irony.
Christian (? teal frame) on Gouger Saturday night. “Do a skid” was greeted with a bewildered and bemused look as to who this drunk was demanding tyre destruction.
Good place to note that there was a pretty grueling ride before the Macaframa screening on tues and the Fujis were there all the way even without clips. At least I think Dave? was up the front for most of it. Good guys.
This thread sucks. I ride around all day trying to get noticed and no c*** has ‘spotted’ me yet! Maybe my jersey is too inconspicuous?
I drove around all day trying to spot Mr fresh so he would not get so shirty.
Finaly spoted at 12.15 along king Willie. Yelled out of the van for a skid. Got a smile.

Me and the wooza saw Fresh mashing down Franklin as we were off to buy a new laptop. Was goign to yell out do a skid, but there was some weird guy in front of us and I didn’t want to start a fight.

Been in Adelaide for a few weeks working. The city has a great bike community and all the nice road bikes have had me wanting one. Seen a few people around the city, lots of couriers for a small city. Talked to a guy named olly? i think. nice guy who recommended north adelaide cycles, which is awesome. The guy who owns it is great for a chat.
People spotted in the last 3 weeks:

girl locking up in rundle mall with a back brake and pursuit style grips on the drops only…
someone on hutt st who i swear had a brakeless single speed.
and lastly a bunch of guys with colourful bike in super teds with clipless odessey bmx pedals which was pretty embarrasing.
