Hi all, I recently picked up this Standish Aero Shimano from a bloke at work for a modest price.
I 've just had it serviced and been told that this bike is " bit of a classic" and
that it is somewhat of a collectors piece !! $$ :-o
For insurance purposes how would I value this bike?

Nice. I don’t think it’s going to be worth big $ but it’s still a very nice unique ride. The stuff that’s worth the big $ is Dura Ace and 600 AX. The Adamas gear was the low end of the Shimano aero push but it’s still nice stuff.
I have one of these but its branded kuwahara rebranded gordonson.
the dropouts on mine arent as nice though.
is yours 700c or 27x1?
I have just had rubber renewed f & r. in & out
The ones I took off were 27x1 1/8. now wearing 1 1/4’s.
As far as bikes are concerned I am a complete novice.

dropouts are there the back wheel axle attatches to the frame.
