Exellent question, and as some of the hardened criminals will know a lock as in D style lock is only used as
(a) an accessory keyring belt clip
(b) a defence mechanism against irate motorists, pedestrians or schoolies. purely for its shock value and not in any way as a heavy blunt object, thats what knuckle duster bar grips are for
(c) ballast or handicapping faster riders, again not as a blunt object.
So if by chance you happen to stop at Waxxy’s for refreshments it is possible someone may offer to chain your bike or an intoxicated schoolie may attempt to ride off on it with little success due mainly to the barrage and relentless chase down of hipsters with d locks
I’ll bring 2 spare locks with me incase someone needs one. You probably won’t need to lock it in most situations cause you’ll just run in and out. But i don’t want to say don’t lock it and then have your bike flogged. Safety first.
If I can ride one of nates bikes, that may fit me a little better than yours eric, although if im gonna win riding yours it may be worth it, even if i cant reach the pedals ha.
