All the better?

oh man there’s a couple keen to come down for roobaix beers and fun times from BNE…

mainly beers

if by keen you mean I bought a ticket and now will be looking for flights, then yes.

mostly there for mainly beers

oh boy

So wanted to do this this year.

what about going to melbourne?

Yeah, for Roobaix. Silly me went and did something silly so am going to be short of cash for a while.

Biting the bullitt isnt a silly thing…

That’s not what I did, just something I wish I did.

I messaged you bro… but look what you did

yawn, less cobbles more gravel talk plz.

Pete or Mike either of you got a route idea or links to maps for anyone interested?

Roughly. Check out the Melbourne Gravel Grinder’s ride out to Kurth Kiln. It’ll be something like that I imagine. That region anyway.

(I’d link, but it’s blocked here at work)

This.

Did ride that day. It was brilliant!

I think coming from Packenham might be best, less pinchy climbs and less turns. Mostly gravel to Gembrook, buy food and such there.

Then Beenak east rd, Black snake creek road/back creek rd onto Bunyip river road then into Bunyip Weir campground on the aqueduct management track.

Can always have a rendezvous time at Gembrook and at the gate onto the aqueduct trail to all regather people coming different routes.

^ yeah i was assuming leaving from Packenham was the best route. Yet to ride out to that bunyip spot so Im pretty keen for this

So, who’s keen.

Saturady/Sunday June 25/26.

Bunyip Weir / Freemans Weir.

Awesome campground, no toilets or anything, just a fire and a table.

~60kms from Packenham, I reckon you could do it on 28mm tyres.
