Have moved back to the big smoke and need a new place to spend my dora/ ask q’s/ and generaly make a neausance of myself( bad spelling and all) . I live innerwest(lillyfield) and work in annandale and am considering the bike shop on glebe point road? Need help as i am about to embark on building some more bikes and need a place that has both styles country and western ('off the shelf" & bitz)
The crew at Inner City Cycles (the one on Glebe Point Road) are ok. Cheeky Transport has devotees but they aren’t awesome IMO. Piero at Deus ex Machina is helpful and friendly, and he has the best selection of fixed specific parts that I’ve seen in the area.
word about deus i want to work their fix section , i went in and promised to spend any money earned there, there.
deus obviously have some really nice stuff but cheeky are great for the bigger range and less expensive parts/repair etc.
also, not so close to lilyfield… there’s apparently a place in wooloomooloo that used to sell scooters, vespas etc but are now branching into a fixed-friendly bike shop. someone else here on the forum might know more about that…
