Also, I think this whole thing works better if we’re not meeting in a pub/drinking establishment because people start turning up, then drinking, and then going home. Defeats the purpose of going for a ride.

Affirmative. Changed it to tuesdays to avoid all the extra taxi’s and drunk f&ckheads around on thursdays.
Also, potential midnight mashers are less likely to be busy on a tuesday.
Edit Lol, yeah took me 2 days to get over sat nights efforts! solid 12hours of drinking with a ride to/from leichhardt thrown in for good measure 
Well after a few people withdrew their enthusiasm for tonights ride, I aaaaaalmost pulled the pin myself. But, a double scotch & coke after work meant I was gonna be awake anyways, so I figured I’d see who turned up, and just do a solo ride if no one showed.
To my amazement, Lachlan, Bobby & The Captain showed up. Tom was rolling on his period mid-90’s S&M Homes and smashed us all in the traffic light drag races to Newtown.
Tom peeled off, and the rest of us rode out to Five Dock Bay via petersham, stanmore, haberfield, leichhardt, then across Iron Cove Bridge and did a loop around the Five Dock Bay cycle path and through the Rozelle Mental Hospital.
Then back down Victoria Rd, across Anzac Bridge, then Pyrmont Park, casino, Pyrmont bridge, Hickson Rd and through the rocks.
I peeled off at the Orient and headed back up Observatory Hill, accross the Harbour Bridge and back home to Kirribilli.
Totalled an 1hour 45 in the saddle for me.
Awesome ride! Weather was amazing, pace was good, no mechanicals, no traffic and no incidents. Perfect!
TUESDAY IS DEFINITELY THE NEW NIGHT FOR THE MIDNIGHT MASH!!
Riding at midnight it generally not the best for me with my work, study, and beauty sleep.
However, I reckon I’ll be in for the Tuesday before Christmas.
Is this going to happen again this tuesday? I moved to sydney today and am keen to meet up for a ride.

I just finished Uni in canberra and decided on a whim to move up to Sydney. I’m living in newtown and hopefully starting work next week.
Nice! Welcome to our mostly great city. Sydney is pretty awesome and there is always something to do, especially if you live in newtown.
I don’t know that many of the regulars here will disagree when I say we don’t have much of a fixed scene anymore. We are still rad dudes who like to hang out and drink beer and be rad, we just ride road bikes mostly.
If you ever get the itch to start track racing, let me know and I’ll help you out.
Skids are still where it’s at… I’ll try get out for a ride on tuesday.
