I make cold brew using a Pyrex and 1L of water with one aeropress scoop. Immerse overnight and pour through chemex in the morning. Clean and earthy and highly recommended.
If thats what you made the coffee with when i was up there then i can highly recommend the output from them.
Gday
Broke my little bodum at work the other night, the glass beaker slipped out of the frame when i was washing it and it shattered:(
Was thinking of switching to a v60 though I’m not sure how i’d go using it at work.
All of the videos i see are of folks using the pouring kettles. We just have those filter hot tap things which you cannot control the flow and have to hold two buttons down to use. It may make pouring into the dripper a little difficult.
Is anyone else using those at work without the pouring kettle? Maybe i should stick to another bodum or maybe try aeropress?
Grab a stainless jug used for frothing milk, fill it up from the hot tap and then use that to do the pour over.

That was fkn awesome
indeed.
Has anyone used a gsi java mill grinder and care to review it for me?
I don’t know much about such things, but this bloke and his roasting place are nice to have on the way back from a mtb session at kowen/sparrow. Its all lost on me, of course. As long as theyre throwing in a fair bit of choc when making a mocha, i dunna care.
People’s recommendations for machine cleaners/descaling? Have had caffeto (tablets) and activated cleaning (powder) brands.
is there somewhere good online?
its for a gaggia machine.
Bicarb.
Or ask Gus

^Free shipping Aus-wide so not just for melburn folk.
I use a stovetop at home but I reckon Aeropress is the best choice for #coffeeoutside
anyone ever had any luck with these?
I had the double about 15 years ago and never managed to make a decent cup with it, or get the shot to split into both cups evenly.
GSI sell what appears to be the same stove
reckon i’ll stick with the GSI collapsible dripper for mine.
I also had an esbit, but couldn’t get good results from it. compact though, self contained hex stove fits inside it
Kinda wanna play with one of these tho

I’ve been taking a chemex brew to work in my zojirushi the last few days and I must confess it’s hard to appreciate any coffee for the rest of the day after something so clean.
Re-hashing this post from a few pages back. Agree with others re: ColdBruer. We’ve had one about a month now and it’s grouse. Purchased from League of Honest Coffee for about $100 iirc. Piss easy to use and very consistent results.
No.
sorry, what? you’re buying some shitty drip machine that you use soluble coffee in?
