this is awesome
i want to see him take this onto the dragon’s den
The application of technology is kind of interesting but I think it wrecks the simplicity of riding a bike. And that’s coming from a guy that doesn’t really ride without a Garmin 810.

Not a bad idea, except the haptic feedback would piss you off when riding in traffic or a bunch, and anyone concerned about performance tracking isn’t going to be riding with the components supplied (ergon grips and flat pedals)

This is an old project. Kinda like the idea, but i think the riding position is a bike cramped.

Via BSNYC - good idea?

I would have liked it better if it incorporated a strap of some kind.
^ I like this, but it would be a constant PITA when you take your foot off and it roatates around.
The “Pub” pedals available for the CB’s looks very good, just wish they did a PSD version.
just have a pub bike, duhhh
What you mean I shouldn’t commute clipless on my criterium bike and still arrive late just before having lunch at a fancy suits venue that doesn’t favour clipless?
I think some shimano SPD’s come with a plastic equivalent of this. Not exactly ground breaking. Probably better in plastic too (lighter to carry)
Wait riding in street shoes on clipless pedals is unsafe??
I just rode in Clarks desert boots on Time ATACS and I didn’t die. I do it all the time. #yolo
Laser cut some steel, grip tape on top. Probably half the cost.
This is not confirmed by science, but I have a hunch that I’ve bent the springs on some of my Time Atacs by riding them in regular shoes. It makes sense - the springs are the part that stick up most, and they’ve gone all loose and rattly on the one bike I’ve done that on.
Possibly the best idea I’ve ever seen on kickstarter. Look like they need a tab to flip them over with though.

Jesus
A reasonably priced and stylish portable battery for phones (but could be used for garmins etc.)
I’m thinking of getting the double pack
MYBELL - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1537964498/mybell-the-1st-customizable-digital-horn-and-light
Mybelll’s speaker can blast out sounds up to 105dB, or about twice as loud as a typical metal bell. You can customize its horn by importing your own audio files. Its built-in 110 lumen LED lights are customizable as well.
That seems a bit excessive
