things to do/shops to shop in Perth...

Hey perth people,
gf and I are bring our bikes over to perth next weekend and also looking for some places to hang. we’re staying in CBD.
mostly looking for good coffee/lunch places. Im a fan of awesome sandwiches.

Hope you are bringing a smaller rear sprocket :open_mouth:

Some of the better coffee places are in Northbridge! There is a tiny one in the cultural centre called Polly that I recommend (they do sandwiches too I think), also Frisk on Francis st is not bad!

Check out the burger Bistro in Shafto Lane in the city, or Jus Burgers on William St Northbridge If you like that sort of stuff!

Not much really happens in the CBd itself, all the cool stuff is on William St Northbridge and Beaufort St Mt Lawley!

If your girl is up For a bit of riding, ride down to Fremantle along the train line. There are a few sections of road, but a lot of Bike Path. Otherwise just catch the train ha

Just look around. Hella easy To ride around and stuff so enjoy!

+1 to HLC

in the cbd theres also The secret Garden and Tiger Tiger for lunch. Hula Bula bar for 5:00 cocktails.

The Greenhouse is kinda cool but pretentious - as most of perth seems to be. cashed up bogans seem quite happy to spend 15 bucks on a beer in the name of elitism

Sad but true. The irony is, trying to be pretentious just means not letting the tribal stamped dickheads in unless they are wearing a collared shirt.

For coffee pony espresso is good, its set up in some old horse stables in west perth
mini espresso also good down some english style laneway in the cbd
atomic also worth checking out need to catch a ferry across the river
and epic in west perth was good

cheers guys but F me - 36 to 38 friday-monday. not great for riding…

lads have it pretty well covered but here’s a few more suggestions

Food n drink
Nao on murray st - just east of the pedestrian mall has pretty legit ramen at a fair price. run by real japs.
Vons chicken in vic park - seconded (go for the roast chilli chicken, with steam rice optional depending on how you feel)
Greenhouse on st georges tce - worth a visit cos it’s convenient from the mall and has been pretty consistent in terms of service and food
CafeItalia on hay st, east perth - really good pizza (and authentic italian service)
Little Creatures in freo - good place to chill if you’re over there and keen to soak up some atmosphere and local beer. decent pub menu.
Bivouac on william st - if you’re in northbridge this is not a bad option. just across the road from jus burger.
Venn on queen st - shop, gallery, cafe, bar rolled into one. $10 hendricks and a bunch of boutique beers.
Zekka on king st - if you’re after a vegetarian lunch and good coffee.

Books
Elizabeth on hay st, west of the pedestrian mall - decent selection of second hand stuff
Boffins on the same st just a few shops down - good range on graphic design, photog, architecture
New Edition on william st - carries a better range than the chain stores for novels etc.

Coffee
Lowdown in cloisters arcade accessible via the terrace or murray st - highly recommended. just look for the big line. closed on weekends.
Elixr on stirling highway, nedlands - voted best coffee in perth. a few of the baristas ride track/fixed and are always up for some banter.
Ristretto on howard st - beyond skate is on the same st. and this place does a very good brew.
Hush or Attic if you’re in freo

With a review like that, you should be on UrbanSpoon young man. Comprehensive and true.

Pony Express in West Perth (behind Commenwealth Bank) during the week is good for coffee too. Also Jean Claude patisserie in Subiaco (top end of Rokeby Road opposite Bike Farce) for the finest pastries in town.

Hooray… Little Creatures got a mention! Best beer in all of the world… If you are riding out that way, swing through North Freo and grab a bite to eat at Flipside (next to Mojo’s bar on Queen Victoria street).

False.

^ lolz

I was waiting for the red can appearance, not that it is appropriate of course. Henri what are you going to do when you move back to Australia? Or is that where the logistics background comes into play?

Dan Murphy’s does home delivery Keir. Tried and tested in the Eastern States by user Lemontime on here.

Dawg is rockin’ redcan like a baaawwwwssssssss
