Weekend in Adelaide

So looks like work are going to send me to Adelaide for a week and are being good enough to arrange the flights so I get a weekend to check it out.

I may or may not have my better half with me. Will become clearer in the next week or so.

I will have to pay for the weekends accommodation myself. Where’s good to stay? What’s good to see?

Might bring my bike if I am coming alone.

Sorry is this is a bit of a wide ranging question, I guess I’m asking what is best to see if you had 2 days only. Cool bars, junk shops, op shop areas, record shops etc.

For starters…

Clarity Records on Pulteney Street for punk / hardcore / indie records.
The Wheatsheaf (aka The Wheaty) on George Street, Thebarton (a short tram ride out of the city) for lots of craft beers on tap and pretty big whisky range.
The Exeter on Rundle St for “hipster” bar, it’s actually one of the last pubs in the CBD that hasn’t been revamped.
The Grace Emily on Waymouth (see above, minus the hipster part)
Treadly Bikes on Ebenezer Place
Exeter / The Metro / The Jade / The Crown and Anchor for live music.
Sad Cafe (next to Treadly) for coffee
Midwest Trader next to Sad for rockabilly / Americana type stuff.
Title (which is behind the Exeter) has a decent selection of music too.

I’ll try and think of more stuff.

Thanks JLN, my trip is still not confirmed yet :frowning:
