Weekend Parking in Cronulla

Hey legends, not sure if you can help me – but I am planning on doing The Coast Track in the Royal National Park either this weekend or the next. Just trying to plan some parking in Cronulla at this stage, will be driving from Canberra on Saturday morning, parking at Cronulla - doing the walk and returning to the car on Sunday.

Cheers folks!

Maybe park at Kirawee (it has some unlimited parking) then get the train to Cronulla, then the ferry to Bundeena if that’s what you’re planning to do?

Cronulla parking
I normally park on Nicholson pde along Gunnamatta park. The ferry wharf is right next to the train station on tonkin st.

You bloody champions!

Dave - Yup, getting the ferry to Bundeena.

Anyone done the coast walk? The only campsite is fully booked out – just weighing up to camp illegally elsewhere along the track or to just rock up to the camp spot to snag a spot anyway.

I have, but I didn’t camp. I did the whole thing in a day with some mates about 2 years ago.

Yeah, it is doable in a day - but we will stop a bit for pics and start testing out our gear for Tassie.

I’ve done part of the south end, but not camped. Rangers definitely ticket in the RNP for car parking without a day or annual pass. Not sure if the same applies to the campsite on the coast walk. With its popularity I wouldn’t be surprised, but others who have camped might know for sure.

We’ll wave if we see you on our Saturday morning Gong ride… http://www.fixed.org.au/forums/showthread.php?t=38408
