Well Dylan it is your job when we go ridding, elre’s idea of riding and eating at the temple was good one up for a repeat some time if people are willing.

Sunday was fun lads, again soon!

Does anyone have any info on the tuesday afternoon yarra trails SS ride ?

willing…

Aww shit I must’ve been drunk when I posted that.

No idea sorry, maybe you could post a query on Rotorburn under the SS sub catagory of XC.

I know that Commuter Cycles and My Mountain do a ride on Wednesday nights meeting at the pipe bridge. And that they ride through the year.

Hey anyone up for a riding the Wombat (Woodend) this Saturday? Send me a PM if you’re keen. I probably have room in my car for one other plus bike (its a small hatch wihout towbar or racks).

ps - I’ve never ridden there before so if you know the track thats great, if not, no biggie. We can get the low down from Woodend Cycles.

Last time I was out at Woodend the trails were raped. I hope things arr looking a tad better out there…

Keen to ride Woodend soon. Not this Saturday though :frowning:

I might take the v-line up the weekend after

Triggerererererer was out there on Sat and claims to have the best MTB ride of his life. I suspect this means the trails are in decent shape.

Yea, I thought that Woodend was one of the few places still ok to ride in Melbourne at the moment. Better be the case lol

I hit Yarra Flats/Bruces last night for the first time in aaaages and they’re both very ridable! Yay! Some major trail re-routing since I was last there but it was all dry and fast. Kinda cool to be riding along familiar trail and then hit a changed section and suddenly have no idea where you are

DISCLAIMER: I am not a very good mountain biker, just an average weekedn warrior with a bike that’s way too good for him (2009 Ibis Mojo).

I did have the best trail ride of my short trail riding life, for the first time I managed to hit every A line at Woodend and also completed my first double, and my first log ride.

As far as the trail conditions go, they were in great shape, a few puddles here and there but nothing major, just enough to get you muddy and looking tough. According to my bro who has ridden tehre a bit, they have filled in any major holes/ditches etc that had developed. The trail was fast and fun, and most of the other riders we saw out there were friendly and having a great time.

On anotehr note I will be up for some trail rides next week straight after work, so like 5:30/6:00pm. I want to get as much riding done on teh local trails before daylight savings dissapears and renders my MTB useless Mon-Fri (I don’t have lights or the $$ to purchase any).
