Thats unfortunate mate.
I am fairly sure I won’t be riding on Sat, but will be there taking some pics.

Well, I broke my bike at the rapha supercross. So I’m out as I don’t think I’ll have time to repair it, see you all in january
fuck it - i registered. I wanted to ride a lot more this year so figured I will take the plunge.
hopefully see you guys there!
Good effort Luke! There may be a slim chance I can make it…
you’ve done the hardest part… racing is the best bit.
If I can get out of Sydney early tomorrow I will bring hte fam down with a burger/kebab from Yarralumla and watch this. Good luck to all!
Definitely going there with the kids. Will race the next one.
If you want to race I don’t mind looking after the kids. THere’ll be a fair FOA contingent. Keith and I are riding to watch.
If I am not there for the race - give me a buzz when you are about to leave. I will be at home finishing up our fence hopefully. Tomorrow is going to be a busy day.
Haha thanks! Cross bike needs a little bit of work and I don’t think I’ll have the time to work on it before then. So will just watch and heckle.
if you need a hand with the fence, give me a yell.

Maaaaaybe…
Will do

pretty good afternoon - i’ve thrown a few pics up on my Flickr https://www.flickr.com/photos/lukedcarberry/
What a rad afternoon. Was stoked to see Luke give cross a crack - he smashed it. The only rider to take a hand up as well! THATS MA BOY!!
The course was awesome, a lot of on and off the bike, a massive section that was better for me to run being on the ss. A natural sweeping berm. The park they had it in was perfect for this sort of thing. As per my Melbourne CX race, the curse of the front wheel continues. I ended up having to run my bike without a front wheel for half a lap, I just wanted to finish the race and was prepared to keep running until the final bell. One of the guys at transition gave me his front wheel though (Aussie Cotic Distributer - good dude), so I managed to get the bike rolling again for a couple more laps. Pretty sure this is a no-go for CX races though as you have to be self supported (NikCee?)… but all good, the first three guys that won the my B grade race were all on MTBs (did heckle them).
I will try and ride the remainder of these races - they are a bloody fun and test the fitness and bike handling. I do want to get my tyres sorted though, I need something FAT! It was good to have the support of the Canberra #FoAMafia guys (Keith, Seb + family, BigAds, lukethespook).
Anyway, the highlight for me was what came after the race - Birthday get together for BigAds @ Seb’s beautiful house. It was the perfect place to have great food, awesome company, listen to rad tunes from seb’s vinyl collection, and sip on whisky. You are all a rad bunch of people to hang with. More of these good times ahead I feel.

Vroom Vroom

Yeah, great race and great night
Good pics Luke btw!
