Next round is this weekend folks!
So anyone heading out to this? To race or spectate? The weather has held out which means it is on at Weston Park Beach in Yarralumla. I think there will be a lot of energy sapping sand sections in this.

How did you go?
I was the only idiot on a single speed in the race - probably came off the back end of mid pack in B grade. Had a really good race with 3 dudes. One was on a MTB who we dropped with two laps to go, shortly after I lost the wheel of the guy in front of me - I tried to chase him down and bury myself on that last lap to try and get it down to a sprint finish across a massive sandy section. I took a gamble to try and ride through the bit that I had run through in previous laps… gamble didn’t work. Running would have been faster and the guy in front of me got away. He loved it though as we crossed the line “man you pushed me to the edge, I think I am going to spew - that was good to have someone to race with”. Results still aren’t up though.

TLDR: I didn’t come last. I didn’t flat. I got sand in my shoes. I had a heap of fun.

Im out of today - My race licence expired and I don’t have the $140 to spend on a new one at the moment. So expensive!
Turns out I’m out too. Feck it.
Re race licenses you can buy day licences on the day, or 3-races licences.
Obviously - no one raced. But a bit of a report with pics here - kinda bummed I didn’t ride. BUT YA GET THAT!!!
