So many facial injuries listed. Wouldn’t be surprised if he never races again. DG should get a while to contemplate, chucking the elbow like that.
Commissaires have been letting that shit go for so long. Nearly every sprint at pro level has a guy drifting off his line, and never getting reprimanded. This was a perfect storm of super-fast sprint, poor safety infrastructure, and a guy not sprinting in a straight line.
I only watched it once though - scary shit. Hope he pulls through alright.

Memo to Mathew Keenan, foreshortening can make distant objects appear really close together. In the last few kilometers of the Pur Mary climb Roglic & Pogacar put about 100 metres into Porte and Landa without trying too hard. Then Porte reduces the gap by about 3 metres, “He’s almost in Roglic’s wheel” shouts Mathew.
It was cringeworthy, reminds me of Norman May calling the swimming in the 70s.
Between gaffes like that, talking over Bridie, mansplaining/dadsplaining basic things and endlessly fawning over Robbie…
i don’t mind keeno, but i find all commentary pretty tedious at times.
i’m glad bridie & robbie have found their groove a bit more, coz i found them super awkward early on, often disagreeing or robbie being dismissive of bridie’s comments etc. wasn’t great.
I agree with you in regards to Robbie & Bridie and that most commentary is tedious.
Also, how bloody good is Annemiek van Vleuten? What a ridiculous ride from her

In their defence, they’re commentating on a five hour event where, to be honest, not a whole lot happens. It’d be hard NOT to be tedious!
