Got this just over a year ago because it was the last of the ‘handmade in USA’ frames from Cannondale…it has endured more punishment than I ever expected from an aluminium frame (including being hit by 2 cars and a couple of nasty crashes one of which dented the top tube).
Doesnt have the wank points of an early 90’s Cannondale Track but it rides just the same (I used to hit the boards on my cousin’s Track many years ago). Stiff and responsive…and painful on your lower back after about 60kms.

Better than road cleats and pox ridden hybrid combo, see it all the time on my commute. Someone in my building is rockin da deltah’s on a mongoose mozza…
I always go for slack enough to roll efficiently whilst tight enough not to jump off. Means regular adjustment but, meh, I’d rather not push an inefficiently adjusted drivetrain for 50+km.
re: chain tension, i run mine tight enough so it dosnt ‘droop’, but not tight so it binds. Never had noise issues? How tight can you actually set it using hands anyways!
