Post Stage Interview
Interesting to see Bardet falter like he did. On the Cycling Podcast they mentioned talking to that South African guy who runs Lampre; he reckoned that they were looking at their SRM files for their riders and calculated that Pinot, Bardet and others must’ve been right on the limit at the end of the second week, and were likely to suffer this week at some point. Perhaps Van Garderen was in the same boat - though Pinot looks really strong still.
My favourite part of last night’s stage was when Phil Liggett called Rafal Majka, Raphael Mic Check.
