TC: Exotic birds rate pretty highly on my best of 2016, thus far
Bertie really lit up stage 6 didn’t he? I don’t know what that means for July though. The fact that he couldn’t get away might encourage the rest. Porte did enough to keep up, but I don’t think he wants to show his cards too early in the season.
Only read the write-ups, haven’t seen the stage yet, but sounded ridiculous! Can’t wait to watch. Matthews, for his talk of “hanging in there” finished a long way back (+21 minutes?).
Wasn’t dropped until final climb though? Would have sat up then.
Don’t get me wrong - I think he’s been a star. I just think with the hitters in the field…
That finish to Paris Nice was sensational. I’m gonna miss Contador when he’s gone.
Also, it seems Nibbles isn’t the most popular guy in the peloton…

I fully support Nibble’s desire for sensations in a blizzard. Clearly we need more extravagant union busting in pro cycling.
Wasn’t it 2013 when Cadel’s Di2 froze in a blizzard and handed the Giro to Nibbles on a platter?
Damn Tony Martin with no chill. I think Nibali has a legitimate concern here. If I’m going to the shop to buy milk, but the shop is perhaps unlikely to have milk - why the fuck would I still go to the shop?
because you get paid handsomely to go to the shop regardless?
and there might well be milk there after all. and it could be your milk.
But if you really, really depend on milk for that particular day, are you going to take the risk? When you could just plan on needing milk at a later stage, when there is guaranteed to be milk everywhere.
Or you could still go to the store and see if there’s milk, in case there’s not a lot of milk there and you can get the milk and deprive some one else of it. Even more so if you’re being paid to get milk and next year, you don’t know who’s going to be paying for you to get the damn milk.
Cos you were going to KFC anyway, and the milk shop is on the way.
Agreed. Although not always been a fan due to his Pistolero salute or his diet, can’t say he doesn’t try his all to win. Others would have just been towed around by Sky and behind Geraint Thomas on the last day but not Contador.
Perfect tactics having two team mates up the road in a break then drop back. Geraint was just lucky it was a downhill finish and had the smarts to fit a 54 on the front in case he had to chase on the last descent…
Never of the bloke who won but an outstanding seventh place means good sensations are in the air!!!

Just finished watching the race, I am pretty fucking stoked! Definitely one for the dark horses.
Interesting accusation re: Demare.
Bit of a Nibali up the Cipressa?
Take down strava file then reload it later as well?
Pro cycling is a circus.
