muddy, filthy and a bit of a slog.
with the recent rain it will be quite technical and the grass sections will make it tough as there will be only a few sections to recover on.

I have heard they do bike racing in japan with little rainbow shorts and old style bikes. They look like little colourful mushrooms with their stackhats.
The embryonic form of the fixie dream developed there. But they didn’t race properly, on the streets, only on weird circular tracks with lots of Japanese people betting on them like horses. Not even a real sport.
