Advice needed: wheelset for light touring - 32 or 36h?

FFS I wasn’t asking a question doofus, I was making the point that the traditionally narrow flanged spacing of the SP seems to have improved quite a bit.
Looking at the spec, the SP 6-bolt is 52mm (c-c) which is actually better than SON which is 47.5mm

Sorry H, got thrown by the question marks.

^ that is a question.

Incorrect.

^ that is a statement.

Plus, if you refer to my original statement at the top, I said get the widebody if you wanted wide flange spacing. (DGAF about discs/non discs)

Coz you can’t google/read, I’ll give you the link, and the measurement.
Wide-Body SON Delux Generator Hub | Off The Beaten Path

Schmidt managed to increase the flange spacing to 68 mm. This not only is 18 mm wider than the standard Delux hub (above left), but even 6 mm wider than the SON28.

They’re all still wider than a rear cassette hub, so buy the one you like the look of.

Um not really applicable for me:

There is no disc version

Blakey its you who is being the pain in the arse here… H was asking a rhetorical question, so technically speaking he wasn’t asking a question ACTUALLY… Your constant attempts to belittle him seem like like nothing more than bullying and its Bullshit. Cut it out. Start acting more like a mod and less like an arsehat.

In any case, equal flange spacing will build a stronger wheel, so the SP should be as good if not better than the SONdelux (on paper at the very least).

Good advice here Joel, I am going to buy an SLX rear hub for commuting!

Thread dig-
I lost one of the little connectors on my SP hub.
Do I need to buy the specific SP branded male/female connector, or is the Shimano ones compatible??

Thanks Beardos…

Shimano ones are fine. I’m using one on my SP hub.

Cheers MikeD

I need one Mikdee. Where can I get one from?
