BO GEAR - STRAP ONS LAUNCHED

Dan has given them a really good plug over at www.shifterbikes.com

I’m really interested to see how they go with Animal Hamilton PC pedals once you fellas have trialled them (I have them on my BMX and they feel awesome).
The gnurled and concave surface makes more sense to me for use with the straps, Especially in wet conditions.

Just a bit of constructive criticism:
From a product design angle, I’m really stoked to have seen you guys play around with pre production models and actually see the product come to fruition, although I’m suprised you guys didn’t trial the design on several different pedals to begin with, and then supply a concise shortlist of compatible pedals and/or altered the design to be more applicable to cover a wider range of pedals without modification before you had the first batch drop… just to clear up any confusion.

Once you have all of that nailed so they can easily be installed I think you’ll have a really great product that people wont have any reservations about purchasing.

also, if you havn’t already, have a look at the new FlyBikes Ruben Alcantara pedals just shown at interbike in a harder ‘graphite’ plastic version, super slim so the sole of your foot is closer to the pedal axle and gnurled with tiny little grippy cone profile. With massive side holes for the straps too! they look awesome.

they look similar to the pedals i had a set of the pre-pro webbing models on.

due to the taper at the front, you have to put the front of the strap on the bottom of the pedal.

Don’t worry zoltan, mine have the strap-ons. One less thing for you to worry about.

That wasn’t a dig at you. I understand BMX flats (with clips, or approriate straps) and tehy look fine. Just seeing fixed gears with no foot retention (particulary BMX pedals) angers me a great deal.

Is is it too hard to learn how to clip in?!?!? Are you scared you might fall over?!?!

Sorry, I’ve had a prick of a day.

Wasn’t taken as a dig, no sweat.

I agree re: no retention on fixed. Dickbags.

Good point. The taper might be an issue, is there any issues with running the front straps on the bottom? or is it still cool?

It’s all good as long as your not scraping your pedals on the ground all the time. The only people who had issues with this during testing were doing spin tricks and scuffing became a problem.

NO issues with running the front strap on the bottom rail, like i had mentioned previously they fit V12’s on the bottom rail. They look pretty scary with the metals studs on the pedals though

Double Also, Winklepickers + BOGear straps = big win cause I don’t need to carry a second pair of shoes to the office.

let’s solve this problem, hey?

I saw the straps in the flesh last night.

Look fucking nice.

starting riding the ones i won at fix up last night…feel really good.

were sweet in the rain this morning too…was a bit hard to get my feet in but i’m sure i’l get used to it.

good win imo.

I got mine in the mail yesterday they look pretty sweet, just have find somewhere that sells the Odyssey Twisted pedals in Melbourne.

Strictly BMX

They stock Twisted PC’s, Animal Hamilton PC’s and also Shadow consiracy PCs.
If you go there and want pedals you dont have to modify, get the shadow conspiracy’s.
Model: Nostra or Ravager.

Ah, Nice one. I’ll be sure to check them out.
