i saw someone already asked but it doesn’t seem to have been answered, must they go on bmx pedals, or could they fit on mks sylvans? just so i don’t have to buy another set of pedals…
they look great by the way, and i’m well sick of the toe cages…
I think they’re designed for BMX pedals. Sylvans might be too small.
true, the straps are far too wide for normal road pedals. some of the bmx ones even need mods…
trust everyone who rides on bmx pedals,
once you try them you will NEVER go back to track style pedals on the street

Just started riding fixed, with metal cages. But these look sweet, might wait to get a new crank set first…
oh well, a man can dream right? i did like the bmx platforms when i was riding freewheel so its not a great loss.

How have people gone making their own straps? I’m going to make some of the simpler WIG style straps as soon as I get webbing sent in the mail. I hate clips and straps but this style seems to fit like a glove.

any word of how hard wearing they are?
They’re not bad on wear, I wouldn’t ride them on a conversion unless it has a high bottom bracket…Velcro and asphalt don’t go so well together, as you would expect.
in summary I’m happy with my purchase, and would recommend them.
Can’t imagine a more comortable/effective setup, these really increased my confidence on the bike in a short space of time. They really do feel like ya taped to the pedals, but no dramas when removing your foot in a hurry. Also love the fact that they keep shoelaces out of the way, which is something I really worried about (probly unnessecerily) when using clips/straps. Only thing I worry about now is having them stolen!
I really like the look of these straps but couldn’t imagine putting them on a vintage track bike. It would just ruin the whole feel of the bike…
