are the rules different in QLD? Kidz annual licences are $10 here. Only covers up to ~12yo IIRC. After that there’s a sliding scale as you approach elite.
CQ wouldn’t allow us to use the KIDZ licenses.
I’m pretty disappointed that they have decided this, I tried to explain that the children are our future…
that’s some straight up fun policing.
Do it another way, get the licences through cycling vic, after all licences are issued via cycling Australia!
Few spits of rain earlier today but nothing to change course conditions.
I did find a small patch (30cm square) of mud down near the creek so make sure you give it hell.
Pack you pots, pans, cowbells, kazoos, whatevers and I will see you down there.
Beers for the cleaner uppers.
What time are the non racing lads getting down there tomorrow?
^^ mmm 12???
oi someone bring me a pot and a spoon!!!
Buffoon hill will be the place to be, without a doubt
Ditto… although minus the pot and spoon. Ima gunna be one handed clapping.
And yelling luck a fuckwit!
pumped!
Car is packed, pots and pans included. Bring the heckle!!!
from my tumblr, posted a video too, not sure how to post it here
Top notch day, many beers, bells (or pots and pans, bike parts etc…) and wheelies.
That was so much tougher that I thought it would be! Next time I’ll have some actual MTB shoes and pedals, no foot retention killed me I probably could’ve gotten away with road shoes and cleats as well… Big thanks to bergs for lending me the randonneurs, if i’d have used my slicks I’d have surely binned it around that leafy tree corner.
Many a rider drifted around leafy tree corner. More than a couple had to unclip.
Who’s on the crux? Saw you ridin home via paddo today and see you come past my place in the gap most weekends… We must nearly be neighbors !!!
could have been any one of about 6 guys wade, haha, id be on one too if i had the coin.
but that pic is Adrian Proetti(spelling probs wrong) “the sheriff”
Wheelie corner was the place to be, good times.
Bloody great day!!! Big thanks to Brad for organising it and laying out a brilliant course. Was bloody sore last night. Thanks also to the mad support crew on the hill for the mid race beers, waters and motivational heckling. CX 4 LYF!!
Thanks to everyone for showing up. It’s a lot of work for 30min racing, but well worth it.
Couldn’t have done it without help from the volunteers, SRAM, Balmoral & Ipswich Cycling clubs. Having a high caliber of spectators makes the racing so much fun, so big thanks to the crew on the hill.
I asked a lot of people for assistance and everyone said yes. I was blown away by the support I got to get this thing on. I will just keep saying thanks until it gets annoying.
If you have some pictures post a link up.
Full race report and results as soon in the next few days.
i just wanna read about marty getting beat out at the line by a girl
