Bris Cyclocross

Presumably there will be additional cost of day licence and or 3 day licence available at the event?

Any idea how muddy this course will be?
If not to bad ill ride my Llewellyn steelie or try to borrow a cx rig.

No mud, just dust. Llewy will love it.

Really I’ll sort some tyres it should fit 28’s may be even 32

A little bit of rain would be nice…

Come over and try the wheels i have on for size.

Don’t wait till the day, rules have changed give cq office a ring! And the organisers!

Yes, there will also be a requirement to be licensed. The 1 day are $33, 3 day $44.

I am trying to work out something for next year for those of us not attached to a club and don’t want to fork out megabucks just to ride a few cross races.

Got a few updates.

Entry fees are now Adults $10, Juniors $5 (to make it easier on the change)

A Grade Cyclocross 45min + 1 lap

If you need a permit on the day please let me know as these need to be pre-purchased and we would hate to run out. (just message me)

Registration will be open between 11am and 1pm only. If you show up later then that you better bring a Caramello Koala.

Food and drinks. There may or may not be a coffee guy who also stocks a few snacks. Otherwise there is a servo across the road and Cannon Hill shops about 500m away.

My saturday plans have changed, I’ll be down to watch now.

Brisbane Forecast

Thursday Late shower or storm
Friday Shower or two, possible storm

We can only hope

me too!!!

That forecast is pretty optimistic, wasn’t there meant to be rain earlier in the week also.
Either way, should be a good day

Anyone want to lend me some 28-30c tyres? Otherwise I’ll probably be down to spectate.

I will bring my spare tyres and a spare set of wheels (10 speed).

All the tyres are ~32mm so you are welcome to use them if you have the frame clearance.

I’ve got some 28 rando’s if you want to use them, not sure how well they would handle the grass etc.

Sweet, I’ll just bring my bike down and hopefully sort out tyres beforehand. 33c tyres fit on the front but I think there’d be about a mm or 2 clearance under the caliper. The clearance on the back should be fine though. I just don’t want to play in mud with 23c slicks.

i’ll be there, not sure if riding, might give Ali’s polo rig a go, but polo gearing, not great, maybe just stick to the beers and noise making

might have to steal my little/big wheels bike back off my 11yo for a 1pm start.

I am happy to add that the day kids licenses will be discounted to $20.
Adults are still $33.
