Bullitt - Blue Bird 71 Build

Help?

But I do enjoy they contrast of this bike (super practical) with your other rides, its a good mix.

Solved the valve problem, bought a new tube. Boys at GEAR and I conferences and decided to cut the steerer, all good now. Seat post n saddle on just gotta dial in the rear hub n da brakes. Cargo panels on next.

This is awesome, keep up the good work dude.
Extra props if you do werewolves on this

the sheldon link in the wikipedia references. i still wouldn’t know how to use them, but at least now i know i can throw them out.

BotY. <3

What’s the damage to the hip-pocket, by the way?

The damage is less hip pocket more full side impact t bone.
Is rad though and well worth it.

THIS IS ALL KINDS OF AWESOMENESS.

Now to convince the wife that I need one of these so we can save costs on our mortgage!

4G. Alfine 8spd group with hydro brakes n so on + floor board. Scroll to bottom of here insurance made this all possible.

WENT FOR A RIDE!!! Holy shit it feels REALLY weird at first hey! Got the floor boars on and some stickers. Got some serious tuning of the hub to do, good range of gears but need to gat all these markers lined up better. If you have a recommended vid link I’d like it, cheers.

Cargo bikes are super whack when you get on them for the first time. I’ve been riding one at work for the last two months and after a while it makes your normal bikes feel WEIRD! Have you ridden any other styles? Like the trisled ones? I found the handling gets a little less ~~weird~~ and a bit more smooth with a little bit of a load on it, like 20kg or so. Haven’t ridden a bullitt myself, though I really, really want one of my own! Ultimate party bike.

P.S. LOOKS FREAKING RAD!

Cheers man, really happy hey. Never ridden a cargo rig of any description before, def need to put in some time on it. Had a mate on it with me (bout 60kg friend) felt pretty good. Looking forward to lost of stuff but can’t wait to pick up and drop home some random drunk, high fives.

I swear there will be lots of hi 5’s when you ride this.

Alfine’s are super easy to tune.On the cassette joint there’s a pair of yellow marks, put the shifter in 4th and adjust the barrel adjuster on the shifter until the marks align.
That’s it.

Shimano Nexus/Alfine 4-, 7-, 8-, and 11-Speed Technical Information

Yeah Scott and I were on it today. Seem that they still don’t line up at full adjustment :frowning: This mean, disconnect cable from hub, adjust all the way back at the lever, hook back up and see how we go, possibly adjust the nut on the cable that hooks onto the pulley?

Refer back to the link I posted, make sure the exposed cable length to the nut is correct, sounds like it isn’t.

I’ll go over it again but I saw the 101mm bit on my paper work, chucked a ruler on it and it was spot on hey.

Bike transported beer, tick.

Moneyshot!

Cool colour match with the sign too.
