As briefly mentioned in another thread, I’m planning on riding Canberra to Brisbane later this month. Got the Northcape 4000 looming at the end of July and really need to ramp up the Km’s. Ultimately I’m aiming to get this done in 4 days but I would be happy to stretch to 5 days, if I ran into any issues along the way. The plan is as follows;
Sunday 21st May - Canberra > Sydney (Western Sydney-ish)
Monday 22nd May - Sydney > Nabiac/Taree
Tuesday 23rd May - Nabiac/Tarree > Grafton
Wednesday 24th May - Grafton > Brisbane
According to google maps, its 1213km & 7305m total. I realise its mainly during the week I’ll be riding but I’m looking for anyone who might be keen to link up for any sections of the ride. Would be nice to have company at some stage. I know there was a few interested in banging out Canberra to Sydney in one day, there is definitely options for people to train down on the Saturday and ride back on the Sunday. If the trains aren’t going through to to Canberra station on the saturday then I could possibly pick people up from Goulburn if they wanna join in. So yeah, holla at me if you want to join in.
