CANNONDALE SILK PATH 700

In the mountain bike world, Cannondale is known for lightweight American- made aluminum frames and a unique front shock fork system called HeadShok. Both are part of the $1,030 Silk Path 700. The HeadShok is a winner because it’s equally capable of gobbling small pavement bumps as well as the bigger hits encountered on trails. A knob on top enables you to dial in how the shock works or even lock it out if you want to sprint against your buds. Meanwhile for your rear end and lower back, a CODA suspension seatpost takes the hits. And the frame is genuine Cannondale: oversize aluminum tubes neatly TIG-welded for a lively ride.

The new balance triathlon team, who ruled the world for a while in the 90s, were mostly on silk roads for maybe two seasons. I would have one now, for sure.
