Chrome bags in Melbourne?

I want to replace my 6yr old Chrome bag. Can someone tell me where I can buy one in Melbourne (CBD or northside preferred)? I’m specifically after a rolltop or messenger backpack (I think).

Tried googling and searching these forums but couldn’t find anything.

Also tried the Crumpler store just now but they didn’t have anything I loved. Boo.

having the same issue mate.
wanting a chrome bag kinda bad after using a shitty army disposal medic bag.
i think you can get the metropolis from this place in brisbane called brisbane gear or something
they sell for around 185 exc. postage

Why not just buy direct from Chrome Website?

Backpacks - Bags | CHROME | Official Site

either go local: BO gear, Skin grows back,

or go OS: PAC designs, Seagull, Chrome, Bailey Works, MER

might want to check here, a little out of date, but a great place to start…

Messenger Bag Manufacturers

can you get stuff shipped from chrome to melbourne?
whats the postage like?

Usually bags shipped from OS end up pretty expensive, you are probably looking at least $40-50 maybe more. As people have mentioned, look locally, I just got one of the Brisbane Outdoor bags and I prefer it much more than my Chrome and the postage is cheaper.

want to sell me your old bag?

brisbane gear dont have the citizen and i realy dont wanna fork out for a massive bag (metropolis) when i dont want it

Nah sorry I’m not sure if I want to sell it yet, I will post it in the for sale section here if I change my mind.

I’ve got a crumpler beez knees that will be redundant in 2 weeks after my seagull custom arrives, in excellent condition, with some nice extra crumpler pouches.

how much did your seagull custom cost you?
because ive checked out the timbuk2 website and made a custom bag on that, for like 160 or so. and it looks facken sick. how much is postage from all these places like chrome, timbuk2 and seagull…

hey BG, my custom seagull cost a fair bit, $476 US, I can barely justify this but I reckon most couldn’t. I guess you can tell I’m not a student. But this is the top deluxe model, biggest you can get with some extra stitching and panels, so I reckon that it’s a fair price for something thats pretty much bespoke. Will post some pics when it arrives.

shit son, thats a fair bit on a bag. i dont think i would spend that all on one bag unless i rode as a messenger.
but i think i might just get one of the “medium” sizes. they are only around 145 without some add-ons and stuff… if not, the chrome bags are actually really good so i might get the “citizen” model

BOGear - can customise, re-used materials, all sorts of sizes and straps and what-not, reasonably priced and lovely to deal with.

there is a dick load of Chrome bags on eBay, thats where i got mine from.

chrome bag, eBay Motors, Clothing, Shoes Accessories items. Great deals on eBay!

Gear Brisbane are expecting a Chrome shipment this week sometime. We have a bunch of citizens coming in that order. We are the only ones bringing Chrome into Australia. Oh and ship interstate. Otherwise i would defs reccomend going for a Brisbane Outdoor Gear bag. Check www.gearbrisbane.com/catelogue or Brisbane Outdoor Gear | Custom handmade outdoor gear

keep me posted, i’m after a new bag, preferably something old a nearly ruined because i do all my own sewing and i want to customize the hell out of it

hmm, this is top notch condition, I really look after my gear. So yeah for sure this is a great bag, but I’d kinda want some decent $ for it, considering it’s condition. Anyways yeah keep you posted.

As I said, I prefer to go local on purchases, and support the local guys, but I do occasionally go OS if I need to.

Doesn’t seem to be many specs listed for any of the BO gear bags, or am I missing something?
