Dosnoventa

You obviously don’t post on BNA ha ha.

Oh really? Haha, I’ll just remove my foot from my mouth

At any rate, if you like the Dosnoventa frames. Buy one. They look and are good, you’re paying more but who cares if you’ve got a nice looking bike that you’re bound to enjoy riding more

I just kind of want one!

If I still want one closer to tax time its a done deal

Yeah found a girl on instagram from Melbourne that rides a Houston. I’ve also heard nothing but good things about these, I wouldn’t mind getting one myself to be completely honest but yeah a bit steep as far as coin goes.

SANSO | ITCHY The Movement - That’s her, page isn’t updated but I guess that’s relevant if you wanted to contact her and ask her idk but they are sponsored so she will probably just say they are the best things ever anyway.

Hmmmm

snappy, Hi… i’m sanso… dosnoventa houston owner in melbourne. Feel free to message me about any thing. One thing i’ll say is that yes i have a special deal with dosnoventa but i’m very demanding on quality so i wouldnt purchase/ride a bike that i didnt find extremely high quality or interesting. I met the dosnoventa guys in Barcelona in August last year. Thats where the connection began, i rode a monte carlo and a tokyo on the streets of Barcelona and was blown away at how tight they felt in comparison to my cinelli vigorelli. The frames are designed by Juan, one of the co-founders/owners. He has a very interesting approach and innovative ideas. The bottom bracket is higher, for 2 reasons: less chance of pedal strike whilst carving up city streets and also as spanish generally have shorter legs it means that the seat post can be higher (the geometry is kind of squashed) because otherwise all the short legged spanish riders have their saddle slammed and it doesnt look very cool. Also they have their own sizing chart. If you order a frame, you need to know that if you for example are a size 54 in a cinelli then you will be a size 52 in dosnoventa. The frames were pre-order, typically taking about 3 months to be manufactured (in italy) and shipped. However, i know they are actually stocking some at headquarters now so its possible the wait is now less (LOW takes 6 months min!) Shipping to Australia is around $200.

both of these bikes are siqq.

look, i really like his novels - the brothers karmazov is a definite favorite - but sometimes i just find them a little, you know, dense. heavy, perhaps. i definitely don’t wanna read crime and punishment when i knock off from work, that’s for sure. i feel like they’re the kind of books you read at uni, then spend the rest of your life just telling people you’ve read them. kinda like what i’m doing right now.

oh, wait, that’s dostoevksy.

carry on.

Notes from the Underground is my favourite.

75-76º seat tubes?

Hope they ship with one of these

“Know your enemy well enough
And you will pity them instead” -
In The Brothers Karamazov
That’s what Dostoyevsky said;
And pity soon will turn to love
Is what Jesus Christ once knew:
They both changed their minds the day when
They met a homeboy crew.

<3 Brothers Karamazov

btw. dosnoventa means ‘290’ in spanish, thats the height of their bottom brackets

horatio, what do you think of that?

this makes H a sad panda :stuck_out_tongue:

i’m not sure dostoevsky ever spoke spanish though.

though i think this is russian for “bullshit we tell people to sell fixies”

and this is russian for “i make racist generalizations”.

man, those russians are perceptive!

Yes…I think so.

Thats what juan and Juanma told me as to an explanation of what they are doing with the design, they are spanish so i wouldnt say that could be seen as racist, but whatever boys… enjoy
