There is so much good bourbon! Buffalo Trace made George T Stagg is the stoutest and blokey-ist drink I’ve had. Very difficult to get your hands on a bottle though.
I am keen for this, so please keep the date and time discussions up! I don’t know what I’d bring, maybe a Campbeltown malt… its an interesting story.

Diageo! Got a foothold there, of course.
Thats a cool graphic mate
From the responses that I get when I mention to people I like Bourbon, they tend to react as if I tell them that I love my VB and VB only. I don’t mean to offend, but it seems to be pigeonholed into a bit of a bogan/rough sort of drink that I guess can be attributed to the jack and coke, jim and coke sort of crowd.
From the very few bourbons I have tried, they are really really nice and really enjoyable. Once I got over that initial bite that these spirits have, you learn to appreciate the flavours. I love bourbon.
PS - how baller is this cabinet.
Me too.
I just finished a bottle of Maker’s Mark.
Been partial to Bookers since I first got hold of it back in the '90’s.
I need to try more of them, definitely.
Is there a tentative date for this Canberra tasting night?
Did chuckle over this. Poor Ezy.
Anyway, can I come along and drink beer? :o
Would Saturday 15th work?
That shouldn’t be an issue for me
works for me
Should work. How are we going to do glasses?
I’ve got 4-6 whiskey glasses I can bring.
Beer Pong cups.
The 15th should work for me.
I’ve also got some nice glasses I can bring.
I should be able to make it
Excellent. So let’s lock in the 15th then as most people can make it.
Sounds good to me. Dress ups from whisky country of choice?
Locked in. Shall we start earlyish? Say 5?
