Are you guys still talking about whisky?
Don’t think so, I’m talking about sex.
Dammit Seb, the only whiskey I know about is Peated single malts from Islay.
Dibs on Australian.
if you go Bakery Hill I can email some of the info from the tasting notes I got from work…
pls do, pm here or davetry at gmail dot com
I got American whisky!
I’ll take the north of Scotland.

I would also like those notes please Rolly.
Nikcee: keen. Probs best to BYO stool though. I was thinking of getting a washing machine drum fire put eh. I reckon that’d go well with Whisky.
Don’t lie. This is way more your thing

I’ve never had a bourbon I really liked, but then again it’s always been pretty cheap stuff. I really like Rye, but haven’t tried too much else so that’ll be a good chance to do so.
Last time I had jack daniels with some ice I didn’t dislike it like I thought I would.
Possibly for the same reason I don’t like bourbon is that I’ve always had them in pre-mix cans with cola or something else really sweet. Then I probably spewed due to drinking 12 different things at a house party in high school.
cgr.
Jokes from instagram carrying over to foa. I got it.
The only bourbons I have had are makers mark and Buffalo Trace - pretty much the standard for your old fashioned cocktail. I will do some research and find out what would be a good drinking american whisky.
I’m pretty sure you mentioned the cougar thing here first.
Oh. Cougar wasn’t the joke… ths s th jk
Dave - maybe a rye like this?

Oh I missed that one…
That description looks like it would be up my alley. I like rittenhouse, which is one of the few rye’s I’ve tried. I’d really love to try Dickel Rye but have never seen it in Australia. There other sour mash stuff is pretty good. That being said I was shooting it and drinking tins of some cheap lager at lefty’s in Brisbane so it could have just been the atmosphere. In the ‘secret’ back bar they were selling me laphroaig for $9. I had a lot of laphroaig that night.
So I just went out Rye hunting, that Hudson looks good - but the bottle is nowhere big enough for sharing around a number of people. They are tiny!
A little bit of research has led me to this - it seems to be a good example of an American Rye. From Park City, Utah (just outside of Salt Lake City) of all places.
