Riding in Melbourne is a piece of piss. After going there repeatedly without bikes, when we went over for the Roobaix with our bikes it was freaking awesome. If you can borrow one during your stay, aren’t a complete idiot and can read a map, you’ll be fine. Just don’t expect the main streets in the CBD to be quiet on a Saturday afternoon. We found that out the bad way negotiating Collins street (I think it was).

YEAAAAH! Alright then, I am not sure what people availability is during the day/arvo on Friday, I will be around the city for most of the day on Friday as I arrive in Melbourne at 7am. So I will just be walking around until I can get in my room so I can dump my bag there then I will be returning into the city I guess. If people work in the CBD, then maybe we can meet up somewhere friday arvo for ginger/beer o clock?

I’m a strapping lad at 180cm! As much as I really appreciate the efforts by everyone, don’t go out of your way to get me a bike. I am going to be travelling pretty light with only carry on luggage, so I think hitting the dirt is out. As much as I would love to hit Buller and You Yangs one day! And I am happy to just walk everywhere, I have feet and they are working at the moment
But I am excited to finally put faces to names and stuff!
The travesty will suit you well, you can put your bag on the rack and ride to your hotel. I’ll even meet you at SX station if you take the skybus and escort you to brunswick.
