Felafel.

taken from earlier thread

best felafel in town?

are we talking just felafel balls, or the full felafel roll?
my fave is up Sydney Rd, Melbourne Kebab Station. near corner of Bell St.
Tiba’s Felafel Serve is an awesome meal.
No Alcohol Sorry!!

Half Moon Café in the ‘Burg.

more importantly, because everyone knows that every 2nd shop in the north sells felafel,
What’s good on the south side? cos i’ve never had a good one down here

+1 on Tiba’s

TIBAS

alasya’s on sydney road do the best ive tried, but i have not had tibas yet!

Global Falafel Appreciation Day… Not that you really need a special day to appreciate the wonder that is falafel…

tiba’s is pretty much the only place i eat falafel but i’m willing to give half moon cafe a try!

the chickpea salad that you get with the falafel serve at Tiba’s.
what’s it called, where can i find a recipe?

The JAMS: Oasis Bakery on North Rd in Murrumbeena make a mean felafel wrap.

mmmm tibas goodness

fixed that for you.

heyyyy i have had nothing but good food from alasyas!

you’ve been lucky. they’ve got a history.

Tiba’s.

But… there are two places here in Copenhagen that are considerably better than Tiba’s. Maybe a bit far for most of you to ride for a felafel though.

Try Half Moon… its egyptian (i think) rather than the normal turkish/lebanese so its spiced slightly differently.

they also offer different felafel sandwich/wrap options (like with roasted eggplant or fetta or olives) and give you 2 types of pickles if you want.

I didnt think there hommous was as good as tibas though.

Nabbs: Its worth giving a try and one of the sandwich options is definitely vegan, another you could make vegan pretty easily.

They have only been really friendly in there each time I’ve stopped by.

Next question: Where is the best hommous in Melbourne?

thx, but its actually quicker to get to Tiba’s from Prahran than it is to get to North Rd…

Ha, fair enough

ive been to tibas 2wice, and it was rad both times and is the pick.oasis is really good for take away, also i was thinking of the easts vegan parmas during a tibas meal after a really dry sunny day of track racing in bendigo 8-),I thought “why not a felafel covered vegan parma!” instead of the regular breadcrumbs use felafel.i need to do some trials.
