Nice work Huey. It looks real nice in person.
Maybe I should sell my wife’s Peter Bundy roadie to Melbourne, to keep the balance of payments in check?

Just the way it goes… its a circle of life.
i think it’s probably for the best…
no. this is the end, my friend.
until he buys another one…
i’ll start looking for one right away
all built up and ready to go. super happy with it. its so nice in the welds. anyone know what was up with the head tube though? swapped it out for a another fork. Pics to come!
PICS
What was wrong with the headtube look fine from the pics on the add…
Nothing wrong with the headtube… The fork didn’t have much steerer left for spacers if thats what you are referring to? (seller is my housemate, infrequent foa user benzy)
edit: And that fork is awesome so please persist with whatever issue you are having because no other fork will be as good for that frame…
Hey Coffee, sorry i was refering to the sterrer tube.
I got in touch with Benzy. He had cut it down completely and put a thread on it. so when trying to install a quil stem in it wouldn’t going all the way down. He mentioned he had to saw his stem and such to fit a quill stem or reem the sterrer tube if i really wanted to. I would go over to Bundy to have a new sterrer tube installed if that was the case. I decided to go with a fork i pick up some time ago - double plated track fork, SLX tube with campy drops - also built by Perkins. The rake is exactly matching as previous fork. Super happy with the ride. before you guys say anything i’ve put SPDs and Bar tape on!

I think that needs a little more explanation. Saw the stem?
Are you sure you don’t just need a headset with a shorter stack height?
^ think he means the steerer is so short that the base of the stem bottoms outs.
fork looks great by the way huey!..matches perfectly i reckon!
replacement fork is beautiful anyway. Nice work!
Thats it Jase, basically the original for was converted from threadless to threaded, and the inner diameter tapered to severly to insert a quill stem all the way down. I love the straight blade fork, but for it to look really neat, it would be too much trouble.
i do love the look of the fork on it now - something i desired for a while.
Thanks for your compliments jase + alibi.
replace steerer tube?
Yeh i know, i could take it over to Bundy to replace the steerer, but i opted for new fork all together.
