Was in outpost picking up the prizes for tomorow and noticed they had 2 fresh coppies o Mash. Get onto it.
This I agree with, but it’s funny how they made it after fixties became the next big thing
Do you have any contacts for Gear
Who’s Matt and where is the Outpost?
Matt is the manager of the outpost. It’s in the valley just of Ann st in a little lane that runs between Ann and Mclachlan St near the Zoo. Small shop but heaps of cool gear.
Gear will be opening in late Jan early Feb in West End, check out the site for more details. http://gearbrisbane.com/
if anyone in sydney is looking for the mash dvd supply stocks it $49 www.supplystore.com.au,
does anyone know when the macaframa dvd is coming out?
Aha I’m a bit slow catch’n on, it’s all in Brisvagas. Gear’s a great concept store. Maybe the idea will spread south. Does the Outpost have an online store that you know of?
Is the Supply store on Oxford Street?
later… as in when they literally have enough money to get it properly mass produced. neither colby nor colin have jobs that would allow them to get more than a few copies made (they were spending the last few months putting the film together) and when i saw them in SF they were in discussion for another project that would probably finance sellable copies, but would mean they will be busy til at least mid-next year.
but it is well worth it… yeah theres tricks, but there is some amazing riding footage.
melbs may get a premiere in the near future… maybe…
macaframa is a great movie, just saw it at the London Cinema launch. There is slightly too much fast spinning down hills which can be a bore. But good photography, stunts, music and funny (ouch) bits for the fans. Worth it when the DVD comes out.
as a ny messenger, i’m a little offended.
however, i did plan on saying “fuck redlightgo, awful movie” before reading that.
eh. you know, there are new york messengers who ARE arrogant chauvinist assholes, but it runs deeper than that… we’re not all dicks.
I saw the Macaframa 12 minute version at the BFF in London back in Oct . How long is the DVD ?
They do some cool tricks but you can see the tricks are still in their infancy as they slowmo a dude bunnyhopping off a kerb … just like an 80’s skate vid
Full length of about 44 minutes long. Most of the footage is from this year… and a lot of from the last few months (including a couple of clips that were filmed after the las vegas premiere).
There’s a bunch of ‘arty’ HD slow-mo but that’s more to do with the filming style of the guys than emphasising specific tricks…
not a fan of fixie DVDs.
redlightgo made me cringe, MASH was interesting for about 5 minutes until i couldn’t take any more skids down hills and fixie are a bit sad…
riding is fun but not so fun to watch.
Posting to say that I have never watched a fixtie DVD and I can’t ever doing so in future.
That’s sorta like riding a FIx. Doing it because no one else is, going against the cool thing makes it cool right
Shit now everyone is riding fixed… I’m going to have to find the next un-cool thing and then I’ll be cool.
Wasn’t there a thread not so long ago on this very topic.
BTW good Engilrish.
I think you are overanalysing my post.

[/quote]I think I get what your saying. Every time a community/culture grows- it doesn’t matter what it is- someone always starts jumping up and down about how their loosing their (perceived) individuality
Nah just having a dig.
YEp. Just look at skateboarding a few years back. And now that Fixed is the new skateboarding what are we to do?
