Ok, so here’s what I’m thinking:
There’s a thread created somewhere in the forum, probably melbourne meets, all comments and invalid entries are deleted, the thread is on display at the S&S or a slideshow of those bikes is running, and the winner will be judged on the night and a reply posted.
For this category “Distance challenged” any bike is eligible, the conditions are:
You have to be a FOA member registered before 22/10/12,
You have to be the current owner of the bike, proof will be required if you win in the form of a photo of the bike and that day’s newspaper or somesuch,
You have to Paypal NickJ your entry fee,
Your prize will be mailed to you at no cost inside Australia. If you happen to be a FOA member outside Oz, we’ll chat.

i like it in theory, but i more meant that if people wanted to show their bike via a mate that was willing to bring it to the show n shine, they could still potentially receive a prize…
we want bikes there for people to ogle rather than a slide show.

You dont win trophies at car shows if your car aint there.
It’s unfortunate if you don’t make it, but such is life.
You could always load up a slide show of users rides that arent there, but I dont think they should be elligible for prizes.

Can bikes be left at the venue early? I am hoping to go to the Fyxo show beforehand and I don’t want to go home to grab a bike/s for the show ‘n’ shine between the two events.
hmmm, unsure about that one, when would you want to drop it off?
I suppose some time between midday and 2pm. I imagine 2 hours or so at the custom show would be long enough.

i’m hesitant to say yes as it wouldn’t be practical to have too many people doing the same, as we’ll be trying to setup on the saturday…
