Had a quick search and didn’t see a topic for this.
Found a few things on the road of late. A screw driver, a few d shackles with and without the pin. Today a Kendo brand of shifter. Did a U turn for that one. Never heard of “Kendo” as a brand name, but it seems good. Into the tool box with it.
As others may attest, the bulk of what i find is cassshhhhhhh. #guttercashking
(sadly i find far less than i used to thanks to the ol cashless economy) 
Funny this thread popped up today. On my ride this afternoon I came to the conclusion I was probably following a tradie that had not secured their tool bag or similar as i was seeing spanners and screwdrivers quite frequently along one stretch. Nothing that looked good enough for stopping for, especially as it would have had to go into a lycra jersey pocket and probably wear a hole by the time I got home.
I found a great reusable Woolworths shopping bag on the last ride. Washed it up and it’s in rotation already.
In the past I have found:
A complete set of Chinese metric spanners 7-25mm in the tool rool
Two flat bladed screwdrivers
A set of 12 coloured pencils
2 Campagnolo chainring outer bolts (no inners)
A Hazardous Material sign that literally fell off the back of a truck
Never found any money. Or a 10mm socket.
Ive found a few things including coins. Recently got nearly $4 in a week in 2 locations.
4 way worksite powerboard with earth leakage.
Cold chisel
Calliper/scribe thing
A few tie down straps and ratchets. Including one that solved a problem at work that same day.

Riding past Princes Park every day for my commute years ago (pre using your phone to pay for shit) was usually a good spot to find money. My theory was it was folks going for a run carrying nothing more than their car key & a note for a coffee or whatever afterwards. Go for a run, be a bit cooked getting back to the car, grab the car key & not notice the cash came out with it.
Best I ever found in one go was $160 on Glenferrie Rd in Hawthorn. It was stapled together with a post it note with ‘Giuseppe’ written on it & it was lying soaking wet in the bike lane. I went to a few cafes nearby coz I thought it might’ve been some poor bugger’s tips or somethin, but no luck, so I kept it.
Then there was the time @MikeD & I were walking into Royal Melb Hospital at 6:30am & 2x$50 notes came fluttering to our feet from the underground carpark ramp… 
I think the best thing we find rides is friendship.
Believe I was with you on one of those lucrative rides.
Still didn’t buy me a coffee though. 
Found a Focus Meares CX bike and a Dawes Galaxy frame.

Memorable finds for me include a Snap-On locking knife, Knipex pliers, some other pliers, screwdrivers, an Eveready Dolphin torch etc.
I’ve found a couple of kingchrome spanners on separate occasions. one was the perfect pedal spanner size.
The last few weeks has been productive for road treasure. One rubber tie down, a snazzy pair of glasses-
And then the very best find, a clip on unicorn!
Have also found a small knock off Leatherman thingo, a pair of DeFeet long finger gloves (washed & still going strong), and at least 3 phones (all returned to their owners).
One of the phones I found was completely smashed but was still ringing incessantly, which I figured was the owner trying to find it, but I couldn’t figure out how to answer it. It was a user on here (Dayne) that suggested plugging in headphones & using the button on those to answer. Worked a treat & turned out the person calling also owned a sports store & gave me a $300 pair of Asics as a thank you! Hahaha good stuff. I love finding shit.
Found a watch on Sydney Rd earlier. Looked like it fell off a dude fangin north on some kinda hybrid, couldn’t tell if he clipped it as he rode past or dropped it. Either way, he was long gone by the time I could even try to call out, and it was just an Anko/Kmart sports watch, so I left it somewhere obvious in case he turned back (which I doubt)
Finding money used to be a nice thing.

I found a small pocket knife years ago.
Which has proven very useful over the years.
All the pocket knives that I have purchased or been given seem to go missing very quickly.
But not this one - despite its rather small size, surprisingly useful and good quality.
Car bits are sometimes interesting. I found a BMW badge earlier this year, but not in great condition, presumably a vehicle had driven over it so I threw it in the bin.
And the front grill badge of a UD truck. Quite stylish. Cleaned up quite nicely, it’s on the wall in the shed now.
Had to kill a Wattle bird today on my ride.
It was on the road when I got to it, wings splayed out, not moving. Had just been hit by a car.
Put some cardboard over its’ head and ended its’ suffering with my foot.
This kit is probably builds a better toolbox than you’d find in most houses. Mega scores!
