Hard rubbish!

I found an old repco on the side of the road. Was considering turning into into a single speed as it had the right drop outs. Went down to abbortsford cycles and the guy there convinced me that it was basically a “supermarket bike” that was probably dumped for a good reason! So i did the right thing and dumped it again for some other hopeful

I rebuilt a repco superlight that cost me $15 in total, throwing together parts lying around gathering dust. Should of held onto it dude theres something magical about a supermarket beater.

anyone heard of Hallmark roadbikes, I found one and took it home, what should I do with it? I have a fixie wheelset to put on or just leave it as is? its got a mad purple paint job as well

i have a hallmark frame i got for 10buks at a garage sale. its pretty thin tubing and pretty light for a roadie conversion. but it is fine.

there’s 2 crappy looking frames locked together outside bridie oreillys on the corner of sydney and brunswick rd, been sitting there for some time now. ones an apollo roadie and something else, didnt have a close look. does that count as hard rubbish?

if all the parts are gone maybe? still seems a little wrong

right thanks jakob, soon to be converted hall mark, with sweet purple paintjob is gonna go get stripped now

MY hard rubbish special. It currently my commuter bike . It only SS not a fixy

It gives me much joy when passing others in the daily commuter races. And a great excuse when I get passed

i found this today, two streets from my house, a mix of mostly shimano 105, with some 600 and superbe pro components. 57cm sq.

I found a working iPod Nano in hard trash a couple of months ago. its red and used to belong to Caleb Tansey, or so it says on the back.

quick question:

where are these hard rubbish tips in melbourne? i have no idea

im wanting to find an old road frame for my friend to convert on the cheap

They are everywhere, im not gonna tell you tho.

Ive found heeps!

Scored an awesome Vintage Willow tartan esky with rust a while back, about 4 working Repco Travelers, half decent 57cm Shogun roadie, 51cm Hillman roadie with Mavic wheels, 600 everything etc. some other shit bike with brand new 700c continental tyres, about 10 perfect condition ladies bikes and fuck loads more.

Kinda helps that i drive 1000km a weekend and have an empty van most of the time.

They are everywhere Danny, but you have to have the special glasses.

Geeze nexus, I’m gonna have nightmares tonight… :expressionless:

Are you a serial killer?

avanti hurricane comp with alivio and acera components, working lights, new schwalbe big apple tyres and clipless pedals which are going on my roadie

Only when im not trying to get small kids in my van.

Enticing them with promises of cheap road frames?
