Hard rubbish!

Hipsters will be easy prey if you offer them cheap tarck frames! And their skinny legged, lightweight bodies will be easy to dispose of.

over the past year all around perth, ive got:

indi condor with magmy magnesium mix tubing kashimax saddle and shimano arrow components.
columbus frame with all shimano 600 components no wheels though:(
49cm reynolds 531 handmade frame with all shimano 105 comp and campag rims, comverted to SS for the missus.
a set of 650c spinergy wheels!
2 giant roadies 1 peleton 7000 and 1 allegre with campanolo titanium rims.
a 20" chrome and metallic purple lowrider
shogun frame with tange tubing
repco 700 lite frame
a cycle trainer or whatever its called.
sugino gt cranks with 48t chainring on it.
a single kick jeff grosso santa cruz skateboard from 1987 with only a few scratches on it

and more than ten 27" size bikes indi 500s repcos gordonsons etc.

nice!

I used to score heeps when i was living in Perth, think we had up to about 20 Indies at one stage

The Grosso board from 87 would be my pick.

I found a box of 6 brand new powell peralta skateboards when I was 13. It was a glorious day.

what the fuck is wrong with all these people??

apart from the fact that they live in perth?

found a badass hillman touring frame in hard rubbish once. still really bummed i sold it. i could really use it right now

Wow! Was that when Powell Peralta were tha shit? Best boards, best graphics, best riders, best videos, best everything…

Do you mean throwing out all this shit, or going around scrounging through other people’s garbage?! :?

No people throwing out awesome shit

picked up a foil once when i was 10-not a piece of foil but a fencing sword thing.

that was awesome until the folks made me get rid of it. didnt get into fencing but certainly managed to tease the other kids in the neighbourhood

ive spent the last 3 years couriering on hard rubbush ‘gems’. Frames with names like road king come to mind. That one survived two years of sweaty, sweaty labour including many stacks and being run over at roughly 60km. The frame is still good, just not in use atm.
My latest is a kick arse shimano road frame which i converted to a fix, and it looks and feels great. I just don’t see the logic in paying some greedy jerkasauraus hundreds of dollars for something new and shiney when people are throwing away perfectly useful ‘trash’.

wrong.

blind/world industries/h street/new deal > powell peralta

I’m pretty sure Powell was around long before most of those.

yeah, but they killed powell off at powell’s peak.

powell/alva (john Gibson what a shape.) def a tie , those new-skool tech weenie decks had no style(except ATS) og paddlepop sticks. and when your postin “bottom brackets should last about 100km” well…

just grabbed a BSA 20 shopper from out the front of my neighbours place.

probably not the sort of bike many of you are interested in but its a cute orange little thing which is going to be a fun fix up project. i used to see it sitting by the neighbours front door locked up and was pretty happy when i noticed they were getting rid of it.

zoo york, before their boards got fat and terrible. the new york subway series for example were amazing.

girl boards were always good and poppy. i even had some amazing element decks that i fucking loved!

never owned a powell i don’t think.

the fact that world industries ended up a mainstream target/kmart brand killed them for me, their quality went to shit. i’m guessing they shipped all their production to some giant factory…

i had a mate that got flameboy tattooed on his shoulder, bet he regrets that now. he ended being a complete fuckwit anyway so i think it’s very very funny

Not too sure if this has been posted but could be of some help to scavengers located in and around Melbourne. Just a facebook group with info on when hard rubbish collections are depending upon councils etc.
