Horizontal dropout spacer, eg Surly monkey nut

I’m looking for some sort of dropout spacer for the rear facing horizontal dropouts on my Voodoo Nakisi. I’m currently using V-brakes, fenders and a large volume tyre, and re-aligning the wheel each time I take it out is a bit annoying. I’d also like to move from V-brakes to disc brakes but the alignment will be even more annoying with a disc caliper/rotor.

I think It’d be easiest if I had a spacer, sort of like the Surly monkey nut, to fill the space. Like this:

It’s a similar concept to what All-City use in their dropouts - but obviously I don’t have this built in:

I’m not sure of the width of the monkey nut, so I can’t say it will do the job for me. It might. But is there something else I could also try?

I don’t want to use a tuggnut/chain tensioner because my concern isn’t that my wheel slips rather that it’s a pain getting it perfectly aligned when I put it back in. A tuggnut would help do that sure, but it won’t make the job simpler or faster.

Use a single speed chain ring bolt.

Worked perfectly, thanks Mike.
