Ahhh yes! It makes sense now! Hehehe… I am a funny guy.
blakey
Shouldn’t every bike shop in Adelaide have some? I know Sam at Treadly had a whole heap of spare bells that come with new bikes. Maybe you can go to a shop that deals with more modern stuff that will have a bell to fit oversized bars. If you’re lucky you can get some reflectors too.
ive already got a bell that doesnt fit, which is the specialty product of bike shops, and i already have reflectors too on my CELLVUMANS CXIE
Ok.
I just bought an Allegro Bike Parts bell at Abbotsford Cycles. Way louder than the Cranes and it has serious sustain. It’s the bell Nigel Tufnel would use.
Whatever i have on the tourer has this, hopping it serves a demonstration of the Doppler effect when i pass pedestrians
I put one of these on my wife’s bike. Bigger, louder and longer than the Crane on my bike. But the Crane looks cooler and has black ano headset spacer mount.
I spent too much money and waited too long and ended up with a couple of spurcycle bells.
they are pretty sick.
Yup. I would really love a black one for my crosscheck but as you say too much money and too much time. V nice tho’.
I got given one of these and gave it away within hours.
Regret is an inevitable consequence of life.
Allegro do/have done two brass bells, a straight crane rip and one thats smaller and more globular, which one’d you get?
i’ve got a cheap crane style bell, i don’t think pensioners can hear it very well, though it’s got an obscenely loud and high pitched clear ring.
i think ring ring sounding bells are probably better in hindsight, better recognisation by the public
The round one, about the size of a golf ball. I was embarrassed to ring my last bell, it was feeble and tinky. Not this new one…loud and proud, baby.
