The Total Rush store on Punt Rd, Richmond would probably be the safest bet as having all models and widths in stock.
There is also the Ronin saddle by specialized that might be worth trying, I can’t vouch for it though…
To give you an idea as to how good the Avatar was for me, I did one of Angry’s TWBD rides using the Avatar model with hollow Ti rails, Whilst riding my CAAD9 roadie and after the ride I had zero soreness. We were on unsealed roads, fireroads and some mild singletrack.
I tried several saddles on the Specialized trial deal (via Hampton Bicycles). Not sure if they’re still doing it but it wasn’t a bad arrangement - pay for one up front then try as many demos in different models and widths as you want until you find happiness. Upfront payment is credited in full against your eventual purchase. The Romin 143* was the clear choice for me, I now have 4 of them in the quiver (and a cupboard full of other saddles that haven’t made it to ebay yet).
*The Romin has a very hard, stiff curved shell with cutout and minimal padding but if the shell shape is right for you, unnecessary padding can hurt more than it helps.
i have the specialized toupe, also in 143mm. it rules. highly recommended.
