Introduce yourself thread!

Name: JP
Location: Canberra west
Bikes: Custom Bob Jackson tourer, custom Kish hardtail, 90s Klein Quantum with mod-ish kit, commuterised '89 Ritchey Ultra
Beard: Mostly off, v rarely on for wife enjoyment
Etc: 80% of my riding is MTB at lunch time during the week. My wife has nicer bikes than I do, knows when to hold em. My daughter is a tough little unit who loves camping. I run more than I ride. I struggle with social media in general but am very much in love with strava. On FOA I like to be presenter of alternative view points/grouch but am not too much like that elsewhere.

Hahahaha, my Dad and I go 50/50 everything. Most of my pay go towards the bikes, so I’m not really that much of a spoilt kid…

I hope…

you got a good attitude, youngun. stick around!

Cheers and will do!

Ah, sorry, didn’t know this post’s existence till today!

Hey Jody,

Do you race at Manakau? And have you been down to Cambridge yet?

I’ve been meaning to make it over but haven’t had a chance yet (I’m over in Tauranga).

Hi, I’ve only been to Manukau once, and has yet to visit Cambridge. But I am keen to check it out soon.

Hello All,

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I have moved to Sydney from Paris, France about six month ago and I am slowly getting accustomed to the hills with my Pompino single speed. Despite cultural stereotypes, I am sporting a beard instead of a moustache ;).

Bike: Kennedy track frame, ebay frame pub-bike.

ETC: First passion is cars (both work and play), so that’s where most of my money goes. Am trying to lay off that spending, and spend more time on the bike/s. Likes: Romantic walks to the fridge, daydreaming, quoting youtube clips. Dislikes: stuck-up folks, maintaining good posture, capsicum.

Beard: Weird patches of fuzz appear on parts of my cheeks that is either promptly removed or kept for a few days depending on my state of mind.
ETC: Currently working in a bar in the CBD but looking to change out of that environment and into something that I actually enjoy, perhaps even bike shop work? If anyone here has any advice to share pertaining to landing a gig like that I’d very much appreciate it
