Introduce yourself...

Uh oh. Kennytyson, is that you?

nope, but he maybe my name doppelganger… better not meet irl

We might cancel each other out, which would suck.

Cool. Adelaide has a lot of good rides very close to the city, plus there will be a few rides happening in the next few weeks. I’m not that fit and strong though.

Awesome, will bring my dinged up, gold rimmed bogan bash down if the new build isn’t here in the next few weeks. Thanks for the heads-up

Hi everyone

I’m Ham.

Been riding a Felt F75 roadie for a few years, also riding a SE lager during my other time.

Hopefully see a few of you whilst I’m out on the roads!

Hi!

I’m Zack, Long time lurker, first time poster. I’ve been riding in Adelaide for quite some time.

I’m on a Black Fuji Track Pro with Aeromax Tri Bullhorns and a pretty obvious Mavic Aksium Race on the front. Lots of stickers and art, can’t miss it. :stuck_out_tongue:

You guys seem like a bunch of pretty cool cats, I might make an effort to go to a meetup or something soon…

.

Whut?

Hi guys, new to the forums.

You can look forward to me thrashing the search function and asking lots of questions.

Welcome new dudes. Brace for sarcasm and confused late 20s transitioning to gears and racks for ‘practicality’. DONT LET THEM BRING YOU DOWN!

Hi all

Was on this site about 3 years ago, have had 2 fixies, sold them both and now have got that urge again. I just want a cheap pub bike that I can commute to the shops etc on and don’t care if it gets destroyed. There seems to be heaps of fixies around but non for sale. If anyone can help that would be great. I was at the macaframa (I think) screening at he wheatsheif pub many years ago haha been a while

They pop up on gumtree every so often but don’t seem to last long.

i’ve got an apollo salt frame (no fork, pretty grubby but otherwise fine) and a rear wheel with a hole in the rim (which i rode on for two weeks or so and was fine). $50

Welcome basketofcats. Do you have pictures of cats to share?

I’ll supply some cat pictures tonight.

Hi, I’ve just been lurking here for the last week or so, reading old posts while I’m thinking about my next bike purchase.

I mostly ride for commuting purposes, about 10km each way between Daw Park area and Stepney, mostly on a terrible Repco single-speed conversion, or when that’s broken I ride my mountain bike. I haven’t actually ridden fixed before, except when my single-speed’s chain comes off and gets locked between the freewheel and the spokes.

My plan is to get an actual good single speed bike and have no excuse not to keep riding to work every day this winter, while also being able to ride it fixed, and to do some longer/more interesting rides on weekends. I might write up more specifically what I’m looking for later, in the noob buyer’s guide thread thing.

Hi,

I bought this bike for getting about on, but it’s ended up being far more valuable than the sum of its (cheap) parts.

I live in Mile End so I use the Sir Don bridge as my benchmark before doing some traffic light sprints in town. I don’t mind heading out to the superdrome on Friday nights for sessions on the hire bikes, but haven’t been in a few weeks. Love riding fixed but also love the aggressive riding I can do in town on this bike.

Anyway I ride road, mountain and BMX also. But a lot less these days.

Cool dude. Head on over to Edwardstown on Friday nights, they started racing again yesterday.

Can hire a bike for $10 and I think race entry is $15 or something, good fun.
