to think this is the end result of a historical legacy that began when a courier decided to put a rack on his fixie in 2007
It’s good that they’ve left the cutout in the main triangle so CX racers can shoulder it.
^ I thought that was for your frame bag?
But, but, but Prolly says Diamondback are back man!
What’s a Prolly?
Sounds like the sort of thing the Radavist would rail against…
I reckon it looks pretty great for a purpose. Triathlon courses (long course elite/age-group olympic and up, where this thing would be used/allowed) are generally as flat and as corner-free as possible. Yeah, there is sometimes strong wind, but a lot of the time there isn’t and big cross sections aren’t always as rubbish as they look in crosswinds. I’m not saying its going to be unreal, but I can imagine a burly dudette/dude hammering for 1hr/55mins in her/his 40km ride around Lake Wendouree no problems at all. The storage, I guess its a nice thing at some point for some people.
I’d go a Dimond if I was going to have a crack at going fast in a tri, though.
On a series note but, bike has the internal space of a small van and we still got have a bottle stuck between the bars??
*if there’s a reason for that in the write up… clearly I didn’t read the write up.
Also… Biters.
