hehe, too true. Darkthrone still gets the odd listen at work when the mood is right.
Funny sometimes the songs you get stuck in your head when you’re out on a long ride by yourself. I was out in the sticks on the way to Kyneton not so long ago and kept alternating between “Closer to fine” by the Indigo Girls and “Display to me” by Napalm Death.

I stumbled across this today, all of the incidental music (well as much of it as people can find) from Ren and Stimpy. I can see these tunes popping up in youtube videos in the near future. There might be torrents around, acquire where ethics permit.
(blogspot pages) Ren & Stimpy Production Music Vol 1Vol 2.
Walking around with these happy, cheery tunes providing the BGM for the day was quite surreal. Except for the ‘Space Madness’ stuff of course.
Oh wait sorry I meant Queensryche, Arch Enemy, Anthrax and Gama Bomb
Work has been full of:

At home i’ve been spiltting listening time between catching up on the 300+ CDs i came back to australia to and a bunch of random stuff that goes all over the musical charts.
The thing i like about these threads is that you get to see another aspect of a bunch of friends tastes (shortsie and mckenny into black metal - wouldnt have picked it, but its rad) and get a couple of new recommendations/reminders of some stuff you need to go back to (QandnotU)
Grim, trance-like black metal from San Francisco. Features a member of genius instrumental math-metallers and Drag City recording artists, The Fucking Champs as well as The Gault and Asunder.
The band had one long player, ‘Dead as Dreams’ released by Tumult in 2000 (a year after it was recorded) and two demos, both released in 1998 and (both) with no vocals.
When The (International) Noise Conspiracy was in town back in 2002 or 2003, they did a signing at Missing Link. So I took my Shape Of Punk To Come insert, and Dennis signed it ‘ARE FUCKIN DEAD!’ I was so pumped up. Still am.
