Been continuously put up for a while now, price keeps coming down…was also thinking the price is now in the realm of reality - started at something stupid…$1500 perhaps?
^yeah I know. It would have been a fairly expensive bike to put together but yeah you don’t get much for a bike second hand.
I have to say that If I had a spare $600 I’d be buying this one for my wife.
I have been watching this come down as well. I almost have enough money to buy it (if I ‘postpone’ other debts for the moment) but might wait to see if it comes down just a little bit more.
It’s a srsly sweet bike. Would ride the fuck out of it.
i just sent it to some mates of my girlfriend that are looking for a new ride. i have been allocated the “find me a bike” job.

I have been in the same boat so many times and can totally empathise with you on that one. Sometimes its simply not being too bothered with it. Then one day, months down the track you’ll see something perfect for them and they jump on it and give you the “thank you, thank you, thank you!”. Or they don’t and they completely waste your time. :-/

i usually don’t give people too many chances, especially if they’re not asking about it regularly or knocking back good deals regularly. they’ve gotta be pretty keen to find something too, as opposed to just mentioning it and assuming i’ll do the rest.
that said, i enjoy building/buying bikes vicariously through others, so will never say no to someone.

I don’t get it either. Maybe there’s just a glut of sweet small lightweight steel road frames that I just don’t know about.
If I hadn’t just bought my dream bike and had a kid I’d be all over this like white on rice.

There’s a tonne of nice bikes for sale at the moment and over the last few months, all going cheap. I call it the hangover effect as a ear of a strong $aud has meant a lot of cyclists have been loading up on overseas bragains. Eventually they’ve all run out of room, money and spousal patience meaning having to weed out and sell some off. That’s bought prices down a lot. + the Reid factor. Newb’s aren’t even buying used bikes.

I think you’ve nailed some of the reasons right there. N00bs aren’t buying second hand to see if they like it, they jump straight in with an entry level carbon jobby, or if cashed up, a new dogma.
