KHS Flite to Super Commuter

I currently have one of these set up for polo. I’m not playing much because I’m a sook however I am riding to and from work again and would like something with mud guards.

Any idea what guards would fit please?

Cruds.
Or possibly sks chromoplastics…

I have the same frame as a commuter: http://www.fixed.org.au/forums/f8/current-rides-21860/.

Standard narrow SKS chromoplastics fit perfectly.
23mm front and 25mm rear tyres (could maybe go 28mm on the back, but 23mm max on front)
Miche long reach brake caliper: Wiggle | Miche Performance 57mm Drop Brake Calliper Set Rim Brakes

The Miche caliper is wide enough to get around the front fender while still being short enough (they’re 41-57mm). I tried a Shimano long-reach, but it wasn’t wide enough. I also tried something else but it wasn’t short enough. Miche was just right.

Maybe if you used Cruds you could have a bigger tyre on the front and get away with a regular caliper. But you’ve got fender eyelets, so it’s nice to use the solid SKS fenders. And the Miche calipers are cheap and good.

Thanks.
I’ll try the Cruds as I want to run bigger than a 23 on the front.

SKS Raceblades, they come in all sorts of different sizes from 23-32

SKS race blades suck if you’re locking up outside and there is the potential for your bike to be bumped/knocked. They bend easily and their rubbing will give you the shits. If you do get them put frame protectors under the clamps as the plastic clamps scratch off the paint.

I rate Planet Bike clip on fenders over the Race Blades. Cheaper too.
