probably his brush border microvilli.
oh and we definitely need more pictures!

fucken!
do want that paint!
Thanks Liam, I fucking love the logo, it just works in the steel and I have nailed brazing the super duper thin lightning bolt bits without scorching the flux or the stainless
We can’t get fireworks down here anymore! Is a travesty!
I appreciate your words, Its gonna be a long journey and one that I am throwing myself headlong into. Every frame has something that is just a bit better than the last and it is a good feeling to see that progression.
Paint is a bitch, I don’t mind making the investment to get set up because it is such and important part of the frame but it is the insane toxicity of the good quality paints that scares me off for now, I felt really fucking sick after airbrushing that design so who knows what kind of cancer causing fuckers were swimming around in my blood stream.
The long term (maybe 5 years) plan is to get set up properly to paint the frames for myself, but I will be using a supplied air respiration system so I never get the chance to breathe anything in.
You are always welcome to come down for a visit, and I’d be happy to do some painting for you once I get it nailed myself
Maybe Amoebas? Poor little underappreciated buggers
Holla if you are coming down Spirito! Would be good to meet you.
Spirito X Canberra colabo party?
VEry cleverly done.
I <3 Canberra. So much good riding in every direction, lots of great old cars that aren’t rusted from being close to the coast and there’s something of a creepy undercurrent that I find cool/fascinating. + you have real seasons. And I’d genuinely like to meet up with you guys and Joel again. I also get excited to see what’s happening on Lake George … there’s a hard to explain allure about that big flat expanse.
Funnily enough I did mention to Mrs. Spirito that I wanted us to head to Canberra sometime soon. She likes Canberra too but I didn’t do a good job of selling the idea this time … chrome platers and the War Memorial hardly sounded exciting/romantic. Geez I lose sometimes !!! lolz
Wise move. Play it safe & and arm yourself to the safety hilt. If you aren’t already perhaps look into Cycle Design brazing rod as they don’t contain any cadmium. Life’s too short and not worth the risk of making it even shorter.
I still give you the highest props. Very few have the skill set, patience, and drive to master not one but two forms of art (building/brazing and painting).
Try Beer Robot and EzyLee…what (heterosexual) female could possibly resist?
I’m withholding my comments until the centrefold is released, but let’s just say I have retrieved some lube from the shed. (For my chain, you dirty pervs!)
All my brazing supplies are from Cycle Design, would you believe you can’t get brass rod at ANY welding store down here…
I stay away from cadmium rod like the plague, scary shit, plus their fluxes are really nice to work with.
I’m definitely working on the skill of patience, The lugs on this latest frame had approx 4 hours each work shaping and smoothing… pays off though and really I love this kind of task
And again, appreciate the props man, I’ll get a big head soon enough with all this praise
sooo sexy.
aside from the posts here, i hope you’re keeping a proper logbook of them all…
ALA Joe Cosgrove
YOU SUCK.
There you go, life is all about balance.
Not about big head … you deserve the encouragement because you’re doing what a lot of others are only talking about (including me). Seeing how quickly you’re developing is perhaps just what I need to get back in the shed and filing away again. So it’s you I’m thanking as well as patting on the back
Ah thats better
Get back in that shed Spirito! It is so rewarding, if tough.
Im always completely shagged after a day of frame building, but it feelsgoodman at the same time.
And don’t worry dfunkt, gotta have the paperwork in order, pity my handwriting isn’t as good as my brazing/filing skills…
This. You dont someone slapping mcbain decals on it in 40yrs time
Love the paint! Long term goal for in-house paint is great plan
Speaking of which, will you have your name on any of these frames? Or just ‘kumo’ ?
yeh, or some bottom bracket stamping?
